Swedish Speaking Compliance Executive

An exciting opportunity has arisen, with a rapidly growing igaming operator, for a Swedish speaking Compliance Executive with expertise on the SGA licence to join their Compliance Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, the Swedish speaking Compliance Executive will have plenty of room for professional growth, and will have the opportunity to receive training and part-take in courses, in addition to being mentored by the Head of Compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee control systems to prevent violations of regulations and internal policies
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
• Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to address compliance and risks scenarios.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
• Occasionally travel and or attend to industry conferences
• Support compliant business operations by providing the business with advice
• Compilation and maintenance of reports, returns and notifications for stakeholders
• Build and manage a sound relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
• Other duties as may be needed from time to time. 

Education, Experience and Attributes

• Legal or Compliance degree or similar qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the igaming industry, or within a law firm handling igaming clients (hands-on igaming compliance experience is a requirement)
• Proven expertise with SGA compliance matters
• Experience of dealing directly with the SGA
• Understanding of regulatory requirements
• Experience with implementation of processes and procedures
• A methodical approach to research and recording information
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills
• Highly numerical
• Experience of collation and reporting of high-level complex material in a timely manner

This role is office based in Malta, pending pandemic regulations.
