Do you have strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude? Our client is an established company working within the travel industry. They operate a travel consultants’ network working with over 500 consultants worldwide. This travel agency and tour operator operates exclusively online, providing professionals with the tools to create successful travel businesses from anywhere in the world.

They are looking to employ an Italian-speaking Administrative Officer to join their team to support their daily office procedures in Malta. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for managing office stock, keeping general accounting records, preparing reports and organising company records. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of office equipment and office management tools.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage general accounting records (purchase and sales invoices), payment schedules, checks and reconciliations.
  • Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets.
  • Act as a point of contact for third parties via phone or email.
  • Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments.
  • Prepare reports and presentation.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in the travel industry or companies that manage a high rate of promoters and agents would be a strong asset
  • Good knowledge of IFRS accounting and tax regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Italian.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office packages, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of internal management systems such as Aves, ET Gest and other platforms for managing activities (Asana, Skype, Online Agency, CRS ET).
  • Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a dynamic online team.

An excellent remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate with a hybrid remote option with the option of working from home 2-3 days per week.
