Our client, a fully independent group specialising in managing complex IT projects and systems for large companies, is seeking to hire an Application Solution Architect on a contract basis for specific projects (6 month contract available on a Hybrid basis in Valletta, Malta). 

Established in 2016, now with 13 entities across 6 countries, they currently employ more than 1750 consultants. This corporate structure enables them to respond quickly to market changes and customer requests, and to communicate and make decisions without layers of bureaucracy.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the solution architecture, design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of IAS portfolio applications Design and coordinate technical reviews, including reviews of design artefacts and source code reviews, addressing technical debt, and recommending alternative robust solutions where appropriate.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution architecture documentation, operational maintenance manuals, version description documents, release guidelines, and user manuals. Implement task automation and continuous integration (CI) /continuous delivery (CD) (CI/CD) for ICT projects.
• Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artefacts are managed, integrated, and versioned according to standards.
• Provide and support knowledge sharing /ng initiatives and assist the "technical point of contact " for the relevant applications, address enquiries and provide technical support.
• Monitor and report on application usage (analytics) as well as ensure appropriate security audits posture of the systems, including preparing and assisting for security audits.
• Collaborate with the ICT project teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders on the analysis and design of evolutionary changes, new features, integrations, and improvements.
• Collaborate with ICT governance/oversight group to align ICT services and infrastructure with corporate strategy.
• Assess technologies tools and functionalities of relevant ICTU technologies and products
• Lead and coordinate technical and feasibility assessments related to technical solutions and tools to host information systems (to be developed) and propose solutions to integrate applications between existing and newly developed information systems or third-party tools.
• Collaborate with the ICT project teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders on the analysis and design of evolutionary changes, new features, integrations, and improvements.

Requirements:

• Advanced use of technologies similar to client's SharePoint on-prem (2013/2016/2019/Hybrid) and SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint PnP Framework (deployment templates), SharePoint site and list templates, SharePoint REST APIs, client-side web parts, custom actions and PowerShell.
• Performing studies, leading to the design and implementation of a solution architecture.
• Software developed as required in one or more of the following: in .NET (framework 4.x and 6+), C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web API, similar to those used in the client's platforms.
• Advanced work with Web APIs and perform system integrations.
• Usage of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps and the Microsoft Graph API.
• Usage of search services or technologies such as Azure Cognitive Search (or similar).
• Usage of DevOps best practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Independent work in one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue.js, Angular or React.
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Work with the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Advanced work with different content management systems (such as Umbraco, Drupal, Orchard Core), and relevant architectures in an enterprise environment.

*The hiring company is offering this role on a starting 6 Month contract, in Valletta, Malta, on a hybrid. Rates vary according to amount of on-site/ off-site days - up to 50/50. This will be discussed in more depth with successful applicants.
