This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Compliance Officer with experience of working in the FinTech industry to join a steadily growing company offering trading of CFDs. 

The junior compliance officer will be working closely with the Head of Compliance and assist with developing, maintaining and revising policies. 

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct daily surveillance of trading activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and Company policies
• Perform research and investigations to identify the reason for potential violations
• Carry out Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
• Oversee the monitoring and identification of regulatory developments
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative reviews of the trading activity in specific business areas
• Constantly revise and update policies
• Respond to escalations

Required Education, Skills & Experience

• University Graduate 
• 3+ years relevant work experience in regulatory, audit, compliance, risk 
• Experience of working with a company trading CFDs or rolling spot FX
• Ideally experience at a MiFID II firm
• Knowledge/experience with financial markets and an array of financial products
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to work with complex data processing

• This is an office-based role in a beautiful office in St Julian's, Sliema
• Some flexibility (working from home) can be considered but mainly office-based
• Working hours 9-17 Mo-Fri
• Salary €25-30K
• Statutory leave (24 days) + public holidays
