Due to the Company’s continued success and growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced 3D Artist to join the creative team at their slot game studio based in Malmö, Sweden. 

Working closely with the Art Director, game producers, animators, and game developers, the Senior 3D Artist will create captivating characters, environments, and game elements.

Role & Responsibilities

• Use your artistic freedom to dynamically work with a wide variety of projects and art styles
• Lead your own projects from start to finish
• Create highly detailed 3D & 2D artwork, from conception to lighting and render, for implementation in the game
• Produce concept art in a variety of art styles in the early stages of development
• Create mood boards that can explain art styles and intentions behind your designs
• Create mock-ups and reference materials that game developers can use as a goal when implementing designs
• Create art assets, from concept to final render, while keeping consistent visual language for a wide range of art styles
• Participate in game progress reviews and give/take feedback about the designs and implementation process

Education, Skills & Experience

• Formal education in visual arts, or equivalent thereof
• 5+ years as a 3D Artist, of which 2+ years as a Senior
• Experience in developing casino / slots / video games
• Strong skills in character and props modeling/sculpting
• Strong skills in texturing, shading, lighting and rendering
• An excellent understanding of graphic design, and colour theory
• Drawing and illustration skills, ability to visualize and design from abstract ideas
• Excellent knowledge of game art asset creation, preparing deliverables for animation and in-game implementation
• Skilled in using industry-standard 3D and 2D software, such as Maya, Substance, Redshift, Zbrush and Photoshop
• Ability to present ideas and to receive constructive feedback, a positive team player who gladly speaks their mind
• Ability to manage your own tasks, track them, and deliver in time
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Mindset to excel; you should aim to make the best slot games the world has ever seen
• Excellent communication skills in English, self-driven, ongoing professional development, happy to work in a knowledge-sharing environment
• Extensive portfolio / Showreel required to show your skillset matches the requirements

About this role

• Based in Malmö
• Salary 38 000 – 40 000 kr / month
