Junior Payroll & Administration Executive
A Malta-based professional services organization offering a comprehensive suite of corporate and advisory solutions to both local and international clients is looking for a Part-Time Junior Payroll and Administration Executive to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing payrolls, maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment processes, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the office.
This is a hybrid, part-time role and offers a salary of €28K pro rata. Due to the urgency of the role, only candidates that are based in Malta can be considered for this role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing, including timesheet reconciliation, wage calculations, deductions, and compliance with Maltese laws
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records, including tax forms and other documentation
- Handle payroll-related queries and support the resolution of any discrepancies
- Assist with tax filings (SSC/FSS), end-of-year documentation, and ensure overall payroll compliance
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on recruitment, onboarding, and general admin support
- Update employee records, support performance reviews, and coordinate training and development activities
- Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and day-to-day HR tasks such as job postings and interviews
Education, Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration
- Prior experience or certification in Employment Law or HR (certificates/diplomas are considered a plus)
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Shireburn Indigo
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and HR management systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
