Our client, a well-established Corporate Service Provider in Swatar, Malta, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients, build strong relationships, and develop your expertise within the CSP industry.

This is a hybrid role that offers a salary of up to €50K depending on experience.

Due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are already based in Malta can be considered for the role

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts for my clients and manage their annual audits to meet deadlines

• Complete and submit VAT Returns for all clients in my care

• Review financial statements and VAT Returns prepared by other team members

• Check that all client work, from myself and junior staff, meets deadlines and legal rules

• Talk regularly with management about client needs and look for ways to improve our service quality

• Reporting important accounting problems to management

• Mentor and help junior team members with their daily tasks and difficult technical questions

• Arrange regular check-in meetings with junior staff to give feedback and monitor client work progress

• Assist management in training, writing articles, and reporting on any major accounting issues

Education, Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified Accountant in Malta – non-negotiable

• 2+ years of experience in client accounting environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – non-negotiable

• Proficient in Excel, Word, as well as SAGE

• Problem solving, and be able to prioritise work on multiple assignments

• Team oriented and eager to engage with colleagues

• Strong attention to detail

About the Role

• Salary of up to €50K depending on experience and performance bonus
