Our client, an online casino and betting operator based in St Julian’s, Malta, is currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Sr Accounting Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for various accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, supporting the day-to-day administration of the finance department.

This is a hybrid role that offers a salary of up to €28K depending on experience, plus a pension benefit of 5% of your annual gross salary and other benefits.

Role & Responsibilities

• Performing general accounting duties and assisting the finance team

• Financial statement reconciliations

• Owning the process of Accounts Payable (postings, reconciliations, and communication with suppliers)

• Providing support in Accounts Receivable and accounting for Cash & Cash equivalents

• Assisting in audit procedures and month-end closing (including accruals & prepayments)

Education, Skills, and Requirements

• Formal education in accounting or finance

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role in Malta

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software

• Keen eye for detail

• Organised and able to work independently as well as within a team

• Willingness to learn
