A well-established investment banking firm is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team. The selected candidate will be carrying out financial planning, analysing financial data, and preparing comprehensive reports.

This is an office-based role with a salary up to €50K.

Please note that for this role, we can only consider candidates who are based in Malta.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the internal team in reviewing financial statements

• Assist in budget management and the development of performance tracking tools

• Support the development of financial models and provide insights to support decision-making

• Build and maintain financial models to value companies and assess deals

• Perform company and asset valuations to support M&A, fundraising, and strategic decisions

• Prepare pitch books, presentations, and client materials for business development purposes

• Analyse financial statements, identify risks, and support the due diligence process

• Conduct market and competitor research to support investment decision-making

Education, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 4+ years of experience in reviewing and preparing Financial Statements with a Malta based company - non-negotiable

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Previous experience in an investment-focused environment is a plus

• Proficiency in Financial Planning and Finance

• Strong analytical skills and able to accurately interpret data

• Good understanding of Financial Reporting principles

• Keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills

• Experienced with financial modelling and relevant software tools
