Our client, an international audit, tax, and advisory firm, is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality accounting support to a diverse range of clients and to take on a key role within a growing and supportive team.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €45K.

Please note that due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are already based in Europe can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

Review accounting transactions and prepare management accounts
Carry out periodic and year-end closing journals, along with finalising management accounts
Liaise closely with auditors during the annual audit process
Identify and implement improvements to systems and procedures on an ongoing basis
Provide support and guidance to junior staff and other team members

Education, Skills & Experience

Fully qualified accountant or is in the final stages of completing an accountancy qualification
Proven experience in successfully handling multiple client portfolios across various industries
Fluency in English both written and spoken
Fluency in Maltese is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships both with clients and team members
Proactive with the ability to work independently and within a team
