Intern needed for a growing FinTech firm based in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and career minded individual to kick start their career with a paid internship (which can lead to a permanent role) with an online platform with over 20 years.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to work in a fast passed environment with the opportunity of a permanent role after six months. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to trading strategies, and insights into risk management and financial operations. The role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain real-world experience in trading and financial markets.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring global markets, economic events, and currency trends.
• Conduct research on macroeconomic indicators and geopolitical developments affecting currency markets
• Support traders in analyzing market movements movements, technical charts, and fundamental data
• Help maintain and improve trading models, databases, and reporting tools
• Assist with order execution, trade reconciliation, and risk analysis
• Prepare daily market updates and trading reports
• Collaborate with other departments such as compliance, risk management, and operations

Required Education, Skills & Experience 

• Has recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Basic understanding of financial markets and foreign exchange
• Can do attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Pivot Tables, and Data Analysis preferred)
• Knowledge of trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, MetaTrader, or Reuters) is a plus
• Programming skills (Python, R, or SQL) are a bonus but not required.
• Must be able to communicate well in English
• Be based in Malta and have the right to work
