A truly exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of IT to join a growing financial institution based in Malta. As the Head of IT, you will be expected to safeguard the
business from an IT prospective and oversee the security and technology side of the
business.

Salary €85-90K, office-based in Malta.

Role & Responsibilities

• Accept full ownership for policies and procedures within Security and Technology
• Security risk management
• Provide strategic Security guidance to IT operations
• 360 support and advice on operational Security and IT
• Coordinate Security and Technology changes
• Oversee and advise on changes on anything related to Security and Technology
• Develop, maintain, and monitor Security and Technology related KPIs
• Create and lead regular training and awareness campaigns on Security and
  Technology
• Assess legal and regulatory changes on Security and Technology and ensure
  adaptation into local processes
• Assess any third parties from a Security and Technology perspective
• Preside over IT Projects to ensure that they meet requirements and are delivered within the given timeframe, budget and quality standards
• Maintain various websites and local software

Skills & Experience

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field
• Certificates / education in IT security/compliance/audit
• Profound knowledge of Security Standards (e.g. ISO, DORA, MaRisk, BAIT, NIST, ITIL)
• Experience in IT leadership roles, Security, IT risk/compliance/audit in the banking or financial services sector
• Knowledgeable in Data Quality Management and Financial reporting standards (SOX, BCBS 239, CRR)
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Fluent in German
