Treasury Manager
We are looking for an experienced Treasury Manager to join a relative startup operating within a dynamic, mutijurisdictional group of companies. In this key role, you will be responsible for cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury operations across multiple jurisdictions.
We are seeking a results-driven professional who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, demonstrates strong analytical skills, business acumen, and thrives in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments.
This role offers a salary of up to €85K, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and payment providers
- Negotiate and manage bank facilities, credit lines, and merchant agreements
- Manage cash flow and liquidity requirements across multiple banks and providers
- Oversee treasury operations, including payments, reconciliations, and internal transfers
- Monitor and forecast short- and long-term cash positions to optimise working capital
- Analyse and manage foreign exchange risk, implementing hedging solutions
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and controls
- Prepare regular treasury reports, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity updates, and variance analyses
- Partner closely with the CFO to identify opportunities for cash and cost optimisation
Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CPA are a plus
- 5+ years of experience in treasury management, with at least 2 years within iGaming or Fintech
- Experience of dealing with the MFSA and other relevant Maltese Authorities
- Experience of dealing with international Financial Authorities and banks, PSPs and other EMIs
- Fluent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of global banking operations, FX exposure, and payment systems
- Skilled in using treasury management systems and ERP solutions
- Excellent ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Highly organised and resilient, able to deliver results under tight deadlines
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
About the Role
- Salary of up to €85K
- Professional certification (ACCA, CFA, or CPA) is required for to be considered for the higher end of the salary
- Based in St Julian's, Malta
