A boutique professional services firm specializing in accountancy and audits, based in Naxxar, is seeking an AML Compliance Officer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in financial compliance, with the ability to support both internal teams and regulatory obligations.

Salary: Up to €35K + benefits

Role and Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and maintain AML policies, procedures, and controls
• Conduct client due diligence (CDD/KYC) and assess associated risks
• Review and monitor transactions to detect and report suspicious activity
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports within required deadlines
• Provide guidance and training to staff on AML regulations and compliance best practices
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain up-to-date compliance records
• Continuously evaluate and enhance AML processes to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within Financial Services, CPS, or related sectors in Malta
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Strong knowledge of Compliance, AML, CDD, and KYC procedures
• Experience in staff training is an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
