Audit Senior
A leading professional services firm with a strong client-first mindset is looking for an Audit Senior to join its expanding team. The ideal candidate will handle statutory audits, prepare and review financial statements, supervise junior auditors, and offer valuable insights on audit-related matters.
This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to €38K, depending on experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee statutory audits from planning through to completion
- Prepare and review financial statements in line with the relevant accounting framework, including all required documentation and reports to those charged with governance (e.g. management letter)
- Prepare and review tax computations in accordance with local tax legislation
- Mentor and monitor junior auditors
- Support the onboarding and training of audit associates
- Identify, discuss, and recommend solutions for audit issues
Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or nearing completion of ACCA
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in Malta (non-negotiable)
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISAs, and local regulatory requirements
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities and strong time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support junior team members
- Ability to work independently while leading a team
