A leading corporate provider in Malta are looking for someone to lead the Tax Advisory Department. As a Head of Tax you will be responsible to build and grow the department, managing client relationships and promote the company as a market leader in tax advisory solutions.

This is an office based role that offers a salary of up to €80K depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the expansion of the Tax Advisory department

• Build and lead a team of tax professionals

• Create technical tax knowledge and comply with local and international tax regulations, including ATAD, DAC, CRS, FATCA, Transfer Pricing, Pillar 2 and others

• Provide exceptional service for a diverse portfolio with matters related to tax

• Research complex tax issues and provide commercially sound recommendations

• Attending conferences, seminars and meetings

• Attract new business opportunities

• Liaise with the internal departments, partners, and stakeholders

• Prepare presentations for potential clients

• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and potential opportunities to support business development and innovation

Education, Skills & Experience

• Warranted Accountant

• 5+ years of experience in taxation in Malta - non-negotiable

• Fully qualified in Tax or willing to obtain such qualifications is a plus

• Excellent communication skills in English at a C2/Native level both written and spoken

• Proven experience in building and leading a team

• Able to identify opportunities and drive growth

• Experience in negotiations

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel. Proficiency in any other tools is an plus
