Our client, a financial institution regulated by the MFSA offering B2B payment solutions based in Birkirkara, Malta is currently looking for a Finance and Treasury Executive to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for Finance Operations and Treasury Management.

This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to €60K, depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage treasury tasks such as account top-ups and internal transfers

• Bank reconciliations

• Manage daily liquidity and flag any issues

• Support regulatory and financial reporting, including quarterly reports

• Process invoices and payments

• Support with month-end closing, prepare reconciliations and supporting documents

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory submissions

• Build scalable reconciliation models that aren't manual and create finance workflows that can easily grow with the team

• Use AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and decrease manual work

• Regularly review and improve finance processes

Education, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor in Accounts, Finance, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience working in audit or accounting roles in Malta, working with a big 4 firm would be a plus

• Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken

• Working experience in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, or igaming is a plus

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations

• Proficient in MS Excel and/or financial modelling skills

• Organised, multi-tasking with a keen eye for detail
