An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lawfirm with their HQ in Malta as a Corporate Lawyer. Some of the firm's specialist areas are corporate, commercial, ficuiary shipping, maritime, trust, trading and holding ops and employment law, and the successful candidate will have experience of advising clients based in Malta and abroad on local and international legal and tax issues.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist clients with all aspects of corporate governance and administration

• Draft and review legal and corporate documents, resolutions, PoA's, various terms and agreements and civil contracts

• Support matters related to immigration, maritime, and other specific laws depending on your interest, experience and expertise

• Advise on compliance regulatory procedures, draft policies as required

• Communicate with clients, professional advisors and regulatory authorities

• Assist clients with company incorporation, maintenance, structuring, and restructuring

• Conduct legal research on various points of law and provide consolidated legal opinions

Education, Skills & Experience

• University degree in Law (LLB or higher)

• Astute communication skills in English (C2 level required)

• Local (Maltese) warrant is not required but could be advantageous

• 2+ years of local (Maltese) experience in corporate law, international taxation, or both

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
