Compliance Manager (ON)
Here is another fantastic opportunity to join an international Sportsbook operator with their Customer Operations Office being based in Malta as their specialist Compliance Manager for the Ontario Regulated market.
You will report directly to the Head of Compliance. The role can be "mid-level" or more senior, paying €45-65K depending on experience.
Role & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive support and guidance with operational compliance; responsible gaming, AML, EDD, player complaints, regulatory proceedings, and marketing content
Ensure adherence to regulatory and and licensing requirements for Ontario by the company and any employees and third parties acting on behalf of the Company
Assist with continuous development company policies and procedures, in adherence to frequently changing regulatory requirements
Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities, including notifications of significant changes to gaming infrastructure, core systems, and operational procedures
Proactively identify compliance risks, provide strategic guidance, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability
Implement internal controls and monitoring mechanisms to detect, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, respond to inquiries, facilitate audits, and address compliance concerns
Oversee third-party compliance programs through monitoring and audits
Conduct Due Diligence and Risk Assessments on players and third parties
Education, Skills & Experience
Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Qualification in igaming AML / CFT / Risk / Compliance
2+ years experience within igaming compliance
Experienced in compliance management for the regulated Canadian market / Ontario
Experience from working with other regulated markets i.e. MGA, Germany
Excellent communication skills in English (native / C2)
Fluency in German would be considered advantageous
Demonstrated professional integrity
Advanced computer- and internet literacy
