Our client, an insurance company located in Ta’ Xbiex, is seeking an Accountant to join their finance team.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement and a salary of up to €45K, depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts

• Monitor and reconcile bank and investment records, as well as insurance and reinsurance balances

• Coordinate the timely collection and submission of monthly accounting data from third-party insurance managers

• Calculate and submit Solvency II returns in line with regulatory requirements

• Assist in the preparation of annual forecasts and budgets

Education, Skills & Experience

• Accounting qualification – University Degree, ACCA, or equivalent (candidates in the final stages of ACCA are welcome to apply)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting role in Malta

• Fluent in English (C1+), both written and spoken

• Experience in the insurance sector is a plus

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
