JobMatchingPartner is looking for a hands-on CEO for a VC-backed fintech company operating at the crossroads of Finance and regulated iGaming, creating a bridge between institutional capital and real-time iGaming revenue. The model combines traditional finance with the speed and transparency of Web3, deploying liquidity across licensed operators through a structured, risk-managed framework.

The company is currently scaling under Maltese regulation and preparing for authorization under MiCA and MFSA Payment Institution frameworks.

Role Overview:

The CEO is an established dynamic leader with a proven track record in high-growth environments, particularly within regulated sectors.
The role requires a combination of strategic and hands-on operational work in all aspects of building the company and organisation. The ideal candidate will have and extensive network in iGaming and strong experience in banking/fintech/payments with a solid understanding of compliance, corporate structure, setting the strategic vision in a startup or scale-up context, and executing at a high pace.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall strategy to drive the company towards product-market fit and sustainable growth

• Lead the organisation in the day-to-day operations

• Set revenue and product development goals with the aim of meeting / exceeding goals

• Create attractive packaging and marketing of the product

• Establish excellent rapport with existing and prospective customers

• Establish and manage a corporate structure to comply with different jurisdictions and regulations

• Oversee efficient allocation of financial resources to maximize growth and operational effectiveness

• Business Development - explore markets and jurisdictions

• Ensure adherence to regulatory policies

• Build and lead an efficient, motivated, and agile global organization, staring with establishing an office in Malta

Education, Skills & Experience

• Proven success in a CEO or senior leadership role, managing tech startups or scale-ups

• University Graduate

• Extensive experience in the payments, banking, or fintech industries

• Strong background in regulated environments with hands-on experience in compliance and licensing

• Extensive network within the regulated iGaming industry

• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategy and organizational structure in a fast-paced, agile environment

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Hands-on, with experience from joining start-ups at an early stage, happy to wear "many hats" and setting the tone before hiring the crew

About this role

• Office-based in Malta with hybrid flexibility

• Salary - startup! Basic + incentives depending on your risk appetite (idea: €100-150K basic)

• No "benefits" in place yet as this is the first person to be employed in Malta

• 3 persons are already employed in Scandinavia
