A local established advisory company is looking for a Jr Compliance Executive to join their team. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team working with a diverse international clientele across various industries, as well as the firm's private clients. Experience with corporate structures is an advantage

This is an office-based role, offering a salary of up to €30K, depending on experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring and reviewing of communications and notifications to regulatory bodies

• Support the collection and maintenance of CDD documentation

• Carry out Risk Assessments at client onboarding stages and during periodic reviews

• Perform client screening checks and escalate results for further review

• Support the implementation of in-house client acceptance requirements

• Assist with the client re-evaluation process in line with internal quality and risk management policies

• Liaise with internal departments to obtain information needed for AML/CFT compliance checks

• Update internal records

• Assist with statutory filings and other compliance obligations

• Support internal audit and compliance review processes

• Help implement and update company policies, including risk management procedures

• Support the delivery of AML/CFT training sessions by preparing materials and assisting with logistics

• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT laws and sanctions requirements, and assist in escalating suspicious activity

Education, Skills & Experience

• Around 1 year of work experience in AML/CFT compliance or a similar regulatory environment in Malta (internships or placements also considered)

• Qualifications or training in AML/CFT or related areas are a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Basic understanding of financial services regulations, particularly AML/CFT requirements for Maltese corporate service providers, trustees, and fiduciaries

• Familiarity with DD procedures and AML practices

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner

• Able to work independently and within a team

• Keen eye for detail
