Compliance Officer
A leading CSP based in Valletta, Malta, is currently looking for a Compliance Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team managing the company's regulated entities, supporting an international client base across multiple industries, as well as private clients.

This is an office-based role that offers a salary of up to €45K, depending on experience.
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure the company adheres to Maltese laws and regulations, including CSP and Trust regulations, and support other regulatory functions within the company
Develop, implement, and update internal policies and procedures
Monitor company activities to identify and address compliance issues
Conduct regular risk assessments and report findings to the Board in quarterly compliance reports
Provide training and education to employees on compliance
Collaborate with other departments to assess and manage non-compliance risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them
Conduct internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance and address any issues promptly, while working with external auditors or regulatory authorities
Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities in Malta, maintaining open communication and providing documentation and information as required
Provide guidance and advice to employees on compliance matters, interpreting complex regulations to ensure the business operates within legal and ethical boundaries
Promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organisation
Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, and recommend and implement changes to enhance the overall compliance program
Conduct performance evaluations for team members, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback
Education, Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, with practical exposure to compliance in Malta
Fluency in English at a C1+ level, both written and spoken
Knowledge of corporate and trust industry regulations and standards, with a strong working knowledge of the Maltese regulatory framework
Expert knowledge of DD and AML functions and practices
Previous team management experience
Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight regulatory deadlines
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated independence of judgement
Analytical mindset and ability to think outside the box
Proactive and a natural problem-solver
About the Role
Salary of €35K - €45K, depending on experience
